Break me into bigger pieces, so some of me is home with you.

What’s this all about?

I think I’ve done some pretty cool stuff in my life.

(Disclaimer: My bench mark for ‘cool’ is ‘stuff that’s made me happy’.)

It would be a shame if I never recorded any of it.  I figured this blog would be a good way to share some of my favorite activities with the people I love.  It’s also a place for me to share some of the things that inspire me to keep active, passionate and never stop exploring.

The catalyst for creating the blog, however, was CancerClimber.  I entered a contest and was selected to go along on an expedition to Africa to climb Mt. Kilimanjaro.  Holy smokes!  It’s still a bit surreal.

On this site, I plan to catalog my training efforts as well as the trip itself.  I’ll continue the blog after Africa, and change its focus to reflect my upcoming goals.

Read, share and enjoy.

“People tend the take everything too seriously. Especially themselves. Yep. And that’s probably what makes ’em scared and hurt so much of the time. Life is too serious to take that seriously.”  -Tom Robbins, Skinny Legs and All
